So what’s this new Thunderbolt Plus wax? Glad you asked. While on their quest to make the next generation ski wax, Fast Wax's engineers came across several very promising additives. One of these, additive “J”, was such strong contender as a Fluorocarbon replacement they continued to develop and test with it even after they moved forward with the Thunderbolt additive. The real genius came when we started mixing the Thunderbolt additive along with additive “J”. This is where the PLUS comes in. All Thunderbolt Plus products have two highly engineered wax additives that break away from the Fluorocarbon legacy. In benchtop testing Fast Wax could see immediate results. When the two additives where mixed we would see how the two additives complimented each other. Additive “J” provided a stronger framework for the Thunderbolt additive to do its job. Providing increased durability and glide. The single additive Thunderbolt is a replacement for their old low Fluorocarbon (HSLF) line of waxes. While Thunderbolt Plus is a dual additive wax replacement for the Fast Wax HSF line of ski waxes. Thunderbolt Plus 10 is a direct replacement for HSF 10, Thunderbolt Plus 10 is a direct replacement for HSF 10, and so on.
Features:
• Blend of paraffin wax and two non-Fluorocarbon speed additives. • Use when humidity is greater than 50%. • 80 grams.
Thunderbolt 10 is specifically engineered with a blend of special hard wax and balanced with a specialty micro wax, along with a tough synthetic wax. A blend of five different waxes are married to form an exceptional ski wax, that excels in and under extreme conditions. Since Thunderbolt 10 is a hard wax you will need to iron this in, let it cool, and scrape it off. You will be shocked at how easy Thunderbolt 10 irons in and scrapes out. You will not find another extreme cold weather wax that is so easy to apply. Thunderbolt 10 is a direct replacement for HSLF 10.
