The Joe Rauscher Memorial Ski Race was held March 7th, 2009. Over $30,000 was raised in 2009 and over $230,000 has been donated to cancer research in the race’s 16 year history.


Joe’s Ski Shop , The Ski Challenge, and Wild Mountain, are proud to host the 16th Annual Joe Rauscher Memorial Ski Race. The race is in honor of Joe Rauscher of Joe's Ski Shop
who succumbed to cancer in 1993.

COST: $30 per person per race (Make Checks payable to American Cancer Society or
Children's Cancer Research Fund)
Registrat ion: Starts at 8:30 am

RACE FORMAT: Team event. Dual course, standard Ski Challenge Format with handicap and team tie-breaker system. Each racer makes one run in each course. Teams will be divided into categories for prizes and awards.

Morning Race 10 am - For the more experienced or competitive racer. Race run on
“Wild”

Sport Division 11:30 am - For the less competitive racer or someone who has never
raced before. Race run on "Express Way"

Competition Division 1:30 PM - For the more competitive or experienced racer. Race run on
"Wild"

TEAMS Form a team of up to 10 skiers, or register as an individual and be placed on a team. All skiers are invited to participate in this great event!

Joe’s Ski Shop will again provide fabulous prizes! The entire day is dedicated to the enjoyment of skiing and ski racing. A special raffle will be held for gifts donated by ski reps and manufacturers to raise money for Cancer Charities. Raffle tickets will cost only $5 each
